DUCF: Hey Campus Alive =) Just wondering how do you guys add in the header [the fish] and make it fit the blog on top [html stuff] Doesn’t seem to work for me. Please advise and help =) Joel here btw xD

Answer:
I’ve looked at your blog and found out that you have changed your html coding a bit. You tried to enlarge the whole outer wrap size and a lot of other things.

Well, the solution that I’ve posted below is for the original “rounders 4 template”. If you want to follow it, then readjust back all your resolutions to the normal one.

If you insist in enlarging your blog wrap dimension, I recommend this site to you. You don’t need to include the part where it tells you to add a new side bar. You can basically use the rest of the tutorial there.

If you however feel that you will prefer to just keep to the original dimension, here’s the edit.

Find

#outer-wrapper {
width:740px;
margin:0 auto;
text-align:$startSide;
font: $bodyFont;
}

Change

#outer-wrapper {
width:730px;
margin:0 auto;
text-align:$startSide;
font: $bodyFont;

}

Find

#header-wrapper {
background: #476 url(“http://www.blogblog.com/rounders4/corners_cap_top.gif”) no-repeat $startSide top;
margin-top:22px;
margin-$endSide:0;
margin-bottom:0;
margin-$startSide:0;
padding-top:8px;
padding-$endSide:0;
padding-bottom:0;
padding-$startSide:0;
color:$titleTextColor;
}
#header-inner {
background:url(“http://www.blogblog.com/rounders4/bg_hdr_bot.jpg”) no-repeat $startSide bottom;
padding:0 15px 8px;
}
#header h1 {
margin:0;
padding:10px 30px 5px;
line-height:1.2em;
font: $pageTitleFont;
}

Change

#header-wrapper {
background: #476 url(“http://www.blogblog.com/rounders4/corners_cap_top.gif”) repeat-x repeat-y; $startSide top;
margin-top:22px;
margin-$endSide:0;
margin-bottom:0;
margin-$startSide:0;
padding-top:8px;
padding-$endSide:0;
padding-bottom:0;
padding-$startSide:0;
color:$titleTextColor;
}
#header-inner {
background:url(“http://www.blogblog.com/rounders4/bg_hdr_bot.jpg”) repeat-x repeat-y; $startSide bottom;
padding:0 0px 0px;
}

————End of edit———-

The result that you will get is something like this:

Hope that helps, Joel.

Hope you guys don’t mind me using CA blog to post html stuff. >___< I can remove this post if you don't want it here. =D

From The "Scene"

Living and studying in a Malay-predominated college made me see the tears and the hidden cries of many who have not known the Lord, and yet standing by the side, unable to effectively evangelize to them due to the laws and restrictions from the authorities.

I realized that as a Christian trying to be a friend that imitates Christ takes more than just listening to them and be there for them when they are sad. Many friends that I have – irrespective of whether they’re Muslims or non-Muslims, Christians or not – have sad stories that scarred their life so badly that they’re unable to look at themselves in the mirror of their soul, and what we are supposed to do is to help them realize that those scars can be testimonies of God’s goodness and grace in their lives, if they allow God to come into their hearts.

The calling of the Christians in my college, is to rise up to the challenge of being a blessing to each other. Putting aside the differences in religion, we as the Lighthouse and salt of INTEC UiTM have to stand together and move into the harvest field, equipped with nothing but the Word and the Love that we have experiences in Christ, and show it to the people around us.

Yet more has to be done, and it can only be done if we pray together to move the hearts and minds of those in authority to grant themselves opportunities to hear the Word and experience His love.

CONTENT

Filed under: Message — campusalive @ 9:40 am
CONTENT = CON + TENT

If you were a con, you would only think of running and hiding away from cops and other bad guys who were ready to kill you anytime. When you looked for a hiding place, suddenly you saw a small tent that people had abandoned. You went in and hid there. Because it was just a tent, no one noticed it since they targeted your house, your families’ houses, hotels, and so on. You were contented.

We run all the time. We are not perfect; we commit crimes, we tell lies, we keep running away from our sins. We hide a lot of times too, maybe from our shame, maybe from our past, but God has prepared his tents for us. Are you willing to step into the tent? Or will you start building walls around your heart and try to convince yourself that you will be safe that way?

Psalm 32:7 says

You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah

Psalm 61:4 says

I long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings. Selah

Psalm 91:10

then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent.

Psalm 104:2

He wraps himself in light as with a garment; he stretches out the heavens like a tent

Now, if you were a con, you would also know that a tent could not last you forever. What does the new testament say about the tent on the earth then?

2Corinthians 5:1
Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.

So, are you contented now with just a tent on this earth? Or are you still convinced that you can find joy and peace in bungalows, condominiums, and other luxuries that park themselves in your heart?

CA Alumni Yahoo Group Promo Post

Filed under: CA Updates — campusalive @ 10:02 am

Since CA 2008 has not started and Choon Wei asked me to mod CA Alumni Yahoo Group, I figured that I should go ahead and introduce everyone to the little-known, CA Alumni’s yahoo group to boost membership and participation.

Ok, what does this CA blog lack of?

I can list a few:
Links to past CA members.
Interesting and thought-provoking posts
Debates
Pictures of everyone
Responses from viewers
Posts

So, what do that have to do with CA Alumni yahoo group?
Simple.

It has links to past CA members.
It has interesting and thought-provoking posts.
I believe it has some debates too.
It certainly has archives of past CA season pictures.
It generates responses from people easily because of the nature of how yahoogroup works. (It sends posts to your email)
It has more posts than CA blog.

This is my suggestion to all of you.

If you are a current CA member or a former member of CA, please sign up so that we can keep track of all CA members, past and present.

This is the link to CA Alumni Yahoo Group.

That’s all I have for now. Thanks.
